Dental crowns are a long-term treatment option for teeth that are heavily restored or have had a large fracture. Dental crowns look just like normal teeth and permanently sit on top of the prepared tooth, much like a thimble. The aim is to restore a damaged tooth to its full size and shape to prevent further damage and discomfort.
For this procedure, an impression of your tooth will be taken by our dentist to ensure the shape, edges and colour are a perfect match. The missing part of your tooth will be replaced with a temporary material while the dental crown is being made by trusted dental technicians.
This treatment is completed over two visits and approximately a two-week period. Our crowns are made in Australia using the best quality materials. Once your dental crown is ready and firmly in place, your teeth will look and feel completely natural. There are different types of crown materials available, including porcelain, e.max, zirconia, gold, empress, VMK and lava. When you visit our dental practice, our friendly dentists will decide which type is best for your needs.
